My Own Research
This is the research i have collected to use as inspiration for my photos in the Liverpool Waterfront project for GCSE Photography. I thought that these photos looked really good, and the more photos I looked at, the easier it was to design my own in Photoshop.
Photographs straight from the Camera
These are the initial photographs which i took on the day of the trip. They are all unedited and straight from my SD card in the camera.
My Edited Images
These images are the finished product of this project. I really tried to take my time with these images, and make them look as good as possible. In my opinion, these images are really good and nice to look at.
This is my use of the before and after technique. The image on the left is the initial image. The day was really dull, so the sky looked really clear and boring. The image on the right is the photoshopped image. I added a new sky into it, and I think that it adds an effect to the image. I also made it black and white, to add even more of an effect and mood to the overall photograph.
Mark McNulty
Mark McNulty (www.markmcnulty.co.uk) is a Liverpool born photographer, who is based in the North West of England. He tries to divide his time between Liverpool and North Wales. Mark has been chosen to shoot pictures for various magazines and record covers, as well as school prospectus' and other things like that. He is happy to receive commissions both nationally and internationally. I like how in most of his images, he has tried to ensure the weather for this day has been sunny and bright. If he was to have taken the images on a really dull and boring day, then the images would have a dull feeling to them.
